HIPs Harrogate Ltd are already an established provider of Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) and have been since the introduction of Home Information Packs in June 2007.

From October 2008 landlord owned property will require an EPC prior to a new tenancy agreement. This relates to private investment property, owners own homes, houses in multiple occupation and registered social housing. This EPC will be lodged with central government and valid for ten years.
